Our Art & Enterprise course enables students with an artistic flare an opportunity to develop their skills further; combining their creative skills with confidence whilst simultaneously learning how to budget and understand how business operates first hand.

Working alongside talented Art Tutors where they can learn and practice different mediums such as felting and sewing, ceramics, mosaic, sculpture, painting, and drawing. Clients will hand make products such as décor and gifts, to sell both internally and externally, as well as via commission. We like to visit the community and local parks for inspiration, visit local galleries and take part in local competitions and festivals. We also take part in commission work from local organisations and businesses and occasionally have internal and external exhibitions.

Artwork is displayed throughout the Inspired building. Clients sell their items at both internal and external sales, where we raise money to re-invest into our self-funded organisation. We then celebrate the success of our sales with a small day out as a gesture of recognition and thanks.

At Youth Inspired we also have a local allotment, where our Art & Enterprise clients are able to sow and plant flowers, fruits and vegetables, tend to them; and eventually harvest and even cook and bake with them. This offers understanding and appreciation of where our food comes from, as well as physical, tactile activities and independent living skills.

“Being at Youth Inspired has been the best experience because I came as a shy young person with no confidence and I’m leaving as an adult who has grown so much. I’m really proud of everything that I have achieved.”

“I have done many things I believed were impossible for me to achieve, and it has only been a couple months. I have since become far more confident in myself, my social skills and even how people view me.”
